1. Data you put into the tool
Everything you upload or type into the visualizer (your Google Timeline (location history) file, hand-made JSON, birth month, residency history, life events) is processed only inside your browser. This site never sends or stores that data on a server.
Turning coordinates into country and region names is done locally against boundary data downloaded to your browser; no reverse-geocoding API is called, so your location coordinates never leave your device in any form.
"Copy share link" never includes your raw GPS coordinates; it encodes only the rendered grid and ranking, each place's name, and the overall date span (birth month in life mode) into the URL fragment (#). The fragment is not sent to any server, but sharing the link passes that information to the recipient, so take care. Any names you typed for regions or periods are included too.
2. Access logs and analytics
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which may collect standard logs (IP address, user agent, request time) for security and traffic statistics under its own privacy policy.
We use Statcounter for visit statistics. It aggregates the page visited, referrer, browser/device info and an anonymized IP, and does not identify individuals. Statcounter is not loaded on the shared-result page (/s).
3. Cookies and advertising
Statcounter may set a cookie in your browser to tell repeat visits apart. If Google AdSense ads are added later, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. This section and a consent banner will be updated when ads go live.
4. External resources
Web fonts (Pretendard) are loaded from the jsDelivr CDN, which involves a request from your browser to jsDelivr's servers.
